On the homepage we gave you a brief history of NORTH TULSA...history that we've learned only over the last 30 years. For decades, mainly since the 1920s North Tulsa history (and Oklahoma history) has been full of puzzles. How did Indian Territory become Oklahoma?
How did NORTH TULSA become far more advanced by the 1920s than most other cities throughout the US and the world?
Your February challenge is to, with your parents or guardians permission, research the NORTH TULSA history on the homepage: find the documents, records from the US congress, eyewitness testimony, maps, buildings, existing Oklahoma towns and cities that confirm the history of NORTH TULSA.
Suggestion:
Start at home. Again, with your parents' or guardians' permission, interview your parents, grandparents, greatgrands and other family.

¿CUÁL ES LA VERDADERA FECHA DE HOY?
Para la historia humana, que es el esfuerzo por contar y registrar las historias de todo lo que ha hecho la gente desde nuestra llegada al universo en el continente africano, para ser más exactos, se le pueden sumar unos 2 millones de años a la fecha actual. Si está considerando la historia de la Tierra, podría agregar alrededor de 4 millones a la fecha de hoy. De cualquier manera, por cada persona que alguna vez vivió en la Tierra hay una historia que contar. Como historiador, nunca se quedará sin trabajo, ya que hay miles de millones de historias que no se han contado.

Filmmaker DENNIS DELAMAR & Rudisill RL Teen Librarian ADRIENNE TEAGUE gEAR uP FOR aNOTHER ePISODE OF YOUNG FILMMAKERS
YOUNG FILMAKERS SERIES is not a new Taylor Sheridan or Ava Duvernay creation about teens wrangling the Southwest, it's Rudisill Regional Library's new series of hour and a half workshops teaching teens, ages 12-18, how to make their own films.
Adrienne Teague, Rudisill RL's brilliant teen librarian and Dennis Delamar, director, producer and the genius behind the Greenwood Film Festival are taking young filmmakers from storyboarding to final edits with a host of special guests covering every facet of film production.

On January 12, Teague and Delmar introduced basic concepts around storytelling, storytelling on film and the work and people needed to bring those stories to life on screen. Delamar zoomed in from the west coast explaining who does what in a film crew.
Teens were challenged to choose writer, director, production and other roles...and to return last week (FRI 2/02) each with their own stories.
Missed the first 2 Fridays, no worries. There's a seat for you....and your story for day 3 doesn't have to be that drawn out (that's this week's workshop)...it could be, for instance..."I like ice cream."
